04.05.2018-More than 70% of the new tunnel has been cleared

The blasting for the new Albula Tunnel is progressing well. Around 4,150 of a total of 5,680 metres have already been cleared. The breakthrough is expected to take place in autumn 2018.

The headwork on the Preda side has currently progressed to 1,850 metres and on the Spinas side to around 2,300 metres. This means that in total around 70 per cent of the new Albula Tunnel has now been cleared. The breakthrough is scheduled for autumn 2018.

Albula Tunnel Infoarena open once more

The Albula Tunnel Infoarena in Preda documents the large-scale 'New Albula Tunnel Construction' project during the construction period. The Infoarena has been open from the beginning of May and will be open until the end of October daily between 8 am and 8 pm. The visit is free of charge and guests are at leisure to enjoy the trip as they desire.
